Just curious what kind of backlog for getting a lens back nowadays...?

Okay... about 6 months from what I'm reading.

For the record... 50mm is my favorite focal length and I've been trying to find the "ultimate" 50mm. From what I've seen of the samples posted here, fred miranda, all photos from my manual Zeiss glass (adapted *T and old Rollei SL35 HFT lenses) and my limited experience with the new ZE lens- this might be what I'm looking for. Anyway, I bit the bullet and one is heading up to you right now to be converted.
I'm hoping to do a side by side comparison of the following 50mm lenses. Here's what I own right now:
Canon 50 1.8 MKI
Canon 50 1.8 MKII
Canon 50 1.4
Canon 50L 1.2
Sigma 50 1.4
and I have access to the new Zeiss 50 ZE.

I'm hopingI can afford to hold on to all of them long enough to compare side by side with the converted Contax N. If I can't... I'll try to come up with a controlled test that I can duplicate on receiving the converted lens.

Anyway... looking forward to the lens!
