I plan to send N50 & N100 to be convert now.
I had test all with contax N1 and only N50 fails to focus.
I wonder if it's better to buy a new used good one or just send my N50 to convert ,ofcorse it will be send forward to repair.
Had anyone give me an idea?

Ultimately, it is up to Contax Japan to give you a repair estimate after seeing your lens. Below is purely my speculation partly based on past experiences.
If you are only losing autofocus but manual focus is working perfectly, Contax Japan charges in the viccinity of 20,000 yen to fix.
If manual focus is stuck or unsmooth, there may be an internal mechanical issue and will cost considerably more to fix. |
