How can I manually focus a converted Makro-Sonnar T* 100mm lens on a Canon D5mkII? To manually focus a Canon lens, the manual focus switch on the lens must be set to the manual position. The Zeiss lens does not have a manual focus switch as the manual focus function is set on the Contax N digital camera body. Please advise me prior to having this lens converted as I do a lot of manual focusing in my work. Thanks. |

The aperture ring of the lens now means the AF/MF switch. f/22 means manual focus and all other positions mean autofocus.
The aperture is controlled by the camera body.
