Hi Bo Ming. What is the possibility of a Sony Alpha to EOS mount conversion adapter? Does the film flange distances of the two mounts make it possible? With new exotic full frame ZA lenses coming from Zeiss (e.g the 24-70/2. , I think soon there might be an even bigger market than for the Zeiss N lenses...

Happy new year.
That combination was certainly contemplated at one point, but again the Sony-Konica-Minolta alpha mount has a mechanical lever to actuate the aperture.
Unfortunately we do not possess the miniature stepper motor technology to move that lever.
Not all that many lens mounts use electromagnetic diaphragm to control the aperture, and that is the reason why we are narrowly focused on the Contax lens on Canon body combination. _________________ I am a bird and I uncovered the E, EF and N-mount communication protocols! |
