It is so hard to price converted Contax lenses. They are so rare that you cannot place a vlaue on the "collectable" aspect of them. I wouldn't take $850 for mine (...and I wouldn't take any amount for my converted 100 Makro. It's that good).
Anyhow. Best to you in your seach for a converted copy. Unless you are in a hurry, it's best to buy one in it's native state and let Bo-Ming work his magic on it.

Thanks for your replies DoctorB and Kentphotos. I thought that I would float the request out and see if anyone has 1 for sale. I will check ebay for unconverted and converted lenses. In reading through the forums/site it appears that there is quite a backlog for conversions. Any idea of the current wait time?
Thanks again,
Stewart

We had a pretty good idea of how many of each of these lenses were manufactured.
http://en.conurus.com/statistics.php
We expect only a small percentage of these will ever get converted to Canon EF mount, and that is how rare they are.
And you are right, of the 9 lenses in the line-up, the 100 Makro is the one to get, if I were to choose one and only one.
My apologies for the backlog and the wait. We will reopen and accept new orders on May 1 and the average turnaround time is approximately 2 months.

Who cares about slow AF and noise, when it produces images like it does. The 100 Makro is truly an amazing lens. I just equiped mine with the Canon dual macro light (requires 72 mm adapter). Takes it to yet another step.

The 100 makro is indeed tempting but I don't do alot of macro and my portraits are covered by my 85L II (A different lense to the 100 I am sure, but funding is not unlimited)
I am really looking to replace the 24-105 and think that the Contax 24-85 would be a better option than the Canon 24-70.
I also have my eye on the Contax 17-35 as I am only covered by the 17-40L on the wide range.........................
But that 100 makro sure is tempting.............If one could be found
Bo-Ming - I understand that you are also located in Vancouver - is it possible to just drop off the lense for modification or must it still be mailed?

Indeed. I usually manually focus mine anyway. The focus throw is just too long to effectively use AF on a Canon (however, I kind of remember it working better on the N1).
The lens even performs on tubes. Here is one with a 20mm tube:
