Hi Conurus,

I asked you convert my nam-1 last year. Recently I found a problem that when I use 35mm lens and 80mm lens with small aperture such as f8,f11,f16 and so on the center of photo appears haze, white or mist. But it is not obvious under large aperture and telephoto lens.

What’s the reason and how to fix it? Thanks.

I wonder if any protection filter was used in front of the lens? Any lens hood used?

No UV filter or hood was used. I removed the UV filter after I found this phenomenon but it's still there.

Hi Conurus, I found a message here post in 2010 called 'Nam-1 adaptor design flaut'. Is it possible that the glare is also caused by internal reflection?

I believe you may have discovered a new problem because all NAM-1's shipped after 2010/09 have anti-reflection flock pre-installed but your s/n was modified in 2011. (I think the inside of your NAM-1 has black felt on it, right?)

I will investigate this problem with my Distagon 35/3.5 and hopefully I will find a solution.

Hi, Conurus, I upload the picture of my converted nam-1. Is there a black felt there? I think it's very smooth and easy to cause some glare.

furthermore, I tested 80mm/f2 lens on my nam. The result is almost the same as 35mm/f3.5. The photos are uploaded.

Hi londonrain,

Let me first apologize to you for not replying to you sooner. Thank you for taking a photo of your NAM-1. It did not have the black felt anti-reflection treatment installed. Therefore, what you experienced was the exact same issue as the problem in a previous thread a couple of years ago.

http://conurus.com/forum/nam-1-adaptor-design-flaut-t701.html

We will ship the black felt sticker to you which you could put it on yourself, or you could send your NAM-1 back for us to rework, whichever you prefer.

I had no idea why your NAM-1 didn't have the black felt anti-reflection treatment. It might have fallen off or it might have been a gross oversight on our part. I am going to speak to (yell at) our QC about your case.

Sorry again for the defect!

Hi, Conurus, thanks for your reply.

It's ok because it's Christmas holiday. I prefer you can ship me a black felt sticker. Thanks for your solution. I will PM you my address.
