Back from Paris. These are not tests, they are travel pictures taken without tripod, and D60 is a very old camera. This is not a shippable production copy of 17-35, but still a prototype. (Some screws missing, band-aid somewhere, you get the idea.) I have asked real experts to conduct official optical tests for us.

Let's see how much detail we can pull from the lens at 17mm.

Nikon Analog Movie Amateur 2.1.1.4 (Doh! I mean Canon Digital Photo Professional)
Sharpness = 2
100% crop

Ok like I said this is a D60 so I could not show you how good the edge of the frame is.

The center remains sharp throughout the entire focal length range. DPP, Sharpness = 5.
