If anyone has some leads on a 17~35 lens hood, let me know.

jrn813 has been on the lookout, but the more the better I guess!

Thanks!

I have bought from this seller and can confirm they're legitimate. I'll offer no comment on the price.

Manufacturing replicas of these scarce Contax lens hoods might be a good opportunity for someone with an entrepreneurial bent.

I couldn't find a GB-103, so I went for a GB-101.
It mounts perfectly well on the 17-35 and provides good protection of the front lens.
It does vignette at 17 when stopped down. It doesn't vignette in the corners but on the right and the left sides.
Until I can get a GB-103, I stick to this one and I just avoid shooting at 17mm when it is mounted (I would say that vignetting disappears beyond 18mm, which is not a big issue).
Could anyone help me finding a GB-103? If I can't get one, I will eventually shave my GB-101, which is a shame...
Thanks,
Jean-Jacques

I have the GB-101 and I don't see any issues with using it. Bought it for $74 back when i got my 17-35mm f2.8 N mount Smile

Had I known these would not be selling for $300+shipping, I would have bought a few more. I have purchased from the eBay seller in the above link before and the gear is as he says it is. But $300 for a hood is rather steep
