I'm new here. I can't get my 24-85 to attach to the camera. Is there a trick to it. It has the conversion kit on it and worked for my friend. I see all the lovely pictures taken by this lens and can't get it on. Good grief please help.

What camera body are you using? How about your friend?

After conversion, the lens works just like any Canon EF lens. Follow the white dot marking (there is an indent on the mount ring near the white dot). Align the marking to the red dot of the camera body and twist it just like any other Canon EF lens.

Hope this helps. Cool

Canon 5d. The older canon model. I been using the other lens on the camera, but i'd really like to try this one out. Doesn't go on. Lined up the red dots (white dot is directly over the red dot). There is a small screw that is there to keep the lens from going the wrong way (saw it on another thread), and it seems to get in the way. Can not figure it out for the life of me. Dying to try it.

Would you mind sending me the serial number of the lens by PM? Thank you very much.

The lens fit nicely on my 5D and now it's the same for my 5D3
giving me endless great pictures.
