hi all!
i've recently been working with a canon 1d4, and i have a question about the interaction of the 1d series AF with converted lenses.
canon's documentation shows that various AF points function as either horizontal points without the proper (fast enough) lens, or cross-type points with the proper lens.
is the higher precision (of 39 AF points) available when ANY lens faster than 2.8 is used, or must it be a canon (USM?) lens?
i have converted 50/1,4 and 17-35/2,8 lenses. i'm wondering if somehow there is a restriction in place.
can anyone confirm either way, or does someone know how to test? at present, i don't have any canon glass faster than f4.
thanks! |
