Occasionally we are asked about the warranty for the circuit board and the mounting parts supplied by conurus.

In practice we just stand behind our products, within reason. If some sort of an official policy from us is required, there is a one-year warranty on all parts we supply, provided that we performed the installation and it was not subsequently tampered with or repaired by unauthorized personnel. Customary exclusions may apply, such as exclusion from damages caused by accidents and other legalese you would find in typical warranty terms. Shipping/handling not included on all warranty claims.

If your one-year warranty expires, and the autofocus fails, here are the repair charges, depending on work required.

lubrication and/or new circuit board	shipping only within the first 3 years, CAN$100+shipping thereafter
ultrasonic motor replacement	approx 25,000 yen+15% (our currency exchange fee/PayPal fee)+shipping
aperture fails to stop down	approx 25,000 yen+15% (our currency exchange fee/PayPal fee)+shipping
more serious failures	whatever Contax Japan charges+15% (our currency exchange fee/PayPal fee)+shipping

• You pre-authorize us to charge up to CAN$390+shipping for your repair. We may not seek your separate consent if the charge is CAN$390+shipping or less.
  
• Even you decline our repair estimate, we will still charge you return shipping.
  
• Prices subject to change without notice.
  
• Please note that Contax Japan repair service will discontinue in 2015. We must receive your lens by 2014/12/31 to allow us time to revert its mount. After 2014/12/31 no repair service will be possible.
