Conurus, from a converted 24-85 I saw the replaced mount, but there is no chip. I thought the Contax's original chip was replaced by one you made for Canon, and will be requried if I want to convert the lens back to N. Is my understanding correct?

There is no Contax chip replaced during conversion.

The Contax parts remaining which are not used and returned to you include

  • Contax N mounting ring.
  • Contax N lens connector with 10 gold-plated brass pins.
  • Depending on lens, some copper/brass shims and some screws.
