Hi: Just found your wonderful product this week and registered yesterday. I have been trying to catch up as to what is avaialble, how it works, etc. Here is what I understand right now; please let me know if I am on the right track.

1. You are modifiying the Contax N lenses. Each modification is specific to each lens (as opposed to a one size fits all adapter) and the aperature and other electronics continue to work and talk to each other between the Contax N lens and the Canon EOS camera.

2. You have completed several of the N lenses and you are working on the rest with the hope of completing the entire line.

3. Once the N lens is converted, it will work with the Canon EOS mount; however the modification would need to be removed to be used again with the Contax N mount.

4. You hope to develop an adapter for the Contax 645 lens group. I understand that this would be an adapter (as opposed to a lens by lens modification) and thus you could use the 645 lens system with the Canon EOS mount or the Contax 645 mount. You might be announcing this develpment sometime this year but you would like to finish the N mount lens group first.

Thank you very much for your wonderful product and please let me know if I am on the right track here. Also please tell me which N mount lenses are presently ready for modification, which ones you see being ready in the near future and if you plan on doing them all.

Also I am one of the lucky owners of the 400mm and it appears you will be making only a few of materials necessary for this modification. Please make one for me. Thank you. Curtis

Hi Curtis,

Yes, you outlined my plan exactly. The lenses currently supported are:
Vario-Sonnar 17-35/2.8
Vario-Sonnar 24-85/3.5-4.5
Makro-Sonnar 100/2.8
Planar 85/1.4
Vario-Sonnar 70-300/4-5.6

The plan is to support all 9 lenses in the N series.

Sounds perfect; I would like to get started on the first 5; I already have the lenses. How should I proceed from here; simply ship them to you with check paid for the appropriate amount? Thank you. curtis
